Project Summary
VEX is a robotics kit in which a team with a maximum of ten people can build to enter into competition with other teams. The organization for VEX is called FIRST. Each competition has a specific task for the robot to perform. This year the task is to place plastic rings onto a pole using the romote controlled robot.

February 10, 2008 ~ Sunday

The team entered a Bridge Battle Tournament, which starts on March 29.


December 12, 2007 ~ Sunday

The team has started building another robot with a different design and planning to see which robot will be better.


December 10, 2007 ~ Sunday

The team placed 21st out of 40 on Saturday's competition.


December 6, 2007 ~ Sunday

The team is continueing to write the code and is geting ready for the compitition this Saturday, December 8.


December 5, 2007 ~ Sunday

The team finished building the robot and are now writing the code.


November 18, 2007 ~ Sunday

The team added the conveyor belt to the chasis and tested it. The Vex team will be competing on Saturday, December 8th at the Northridge Original Qualifying Competition and the week after (Saturday the 15th) in the San Diego Qualifying Competition. Good luck, C-Kings!


November 5-6, 2007 ~ Tuesday

The team downloaded EZ-C, a program that helps the team code for using autonomous mode in the challenge.


November 4, 2007 ~ Sunday

The VEX team finished writing the "Autonomous Mode" program and are continueing the construction of the arm for their main robot.


October 17, 2007 ~ Wednesday

The VEX team completed making the chasis for their primary robot, and also finished the arm so they are currently attaching the two together.


October 14, 2007 ~ Sunday

The VEX team is preparing for the Quad Quandary competition which is in two weeks. They constructed a frame and are currently building the robotic arms for the vehicle.


September 29, 2007 ~ Saturday

The 2007 FIRST Technology Challenge - Quad Quandary - was announced on Wednesday and the VEX team has already met to discuss initial design ideas. You can see details of the challenge here. If you are interested in joining the Vex team, they are going to meet each Wednesday after school, 3pm - 5pm. This means you can do both Vex and work on something else on Sunday if you are interested.
